Charlie Palmer, of Shortingate Road, Thetford, banned from the road after Cornhill, Bury St Edmunds, driving offences




A teenager has been banned from the road and fined £1,100 after being found guilty of two town centre driving offences.

Charlie Palmer, 19, of Shortingate Road, Thetford, was due at Suffolk Magistrates’ Court yesterday having previously been found guilty of the offences on April 15.

These stemmed from an incident on August 23 on Cornhill, in Bury St Edmunds, where Palmer was driving an Audi A3 S Line.

He was found guilty of driving it without due care and attention and reversing unnecessarily.

Palmer was disqualified from holding or obtaining a driving licence for six months.

He was also fined £710 and ordered to pay a surcharge of £264 and Crown Prosecution Service costs of £150.

This totalled £1,124.
