Plans for a Tesco Express on a Bury St Edmunds estate have taken a further step forward.
Tesco has today been granted permission to install three air conditioning units and a fan gas cooler at the back of 1-3 St Olaves Precinct on the Howard Estate.
The units are required to convert the premises into a Tesco Express.
In April, L&C Investments Ltd gained planning permission to transform three shops including a SPAR into one for the Tesco Express.
A licence to sell alcohol has been granted.
Today’s permission also includes a new steel door at the back of the property with a ramp and access rail.
SuffolkNews has asked Tesco about an opening date for the store.
