Bury St Edmunds store Kitchen Kave, in Brentgovel Street, reopens as greengrocers




A family-run kitchenware store has relaunched as a greengrocers.

Kitchen Kave in Brentgovel Street, Bury St Edmunds, reopened on Tuesday after being closed for a three week refurbishment.

With a fresh coat of paint and new layout, the store will continue to sell kitchen items but will now sell fresh fruit and vegetables.

Manager Maizy Palfrey, 18, said: “The feedback has been amazing so far.

“We’ve already had so many people through the door saying how good everything looks, which has been really nice.

“I think it’s a really personal thing, selling people their fruit and veg, you get to chat more with the customer — rather than just scanning the barcode and sending them on their way.

“We’re working in partnership with a nearby market stall and it’s just great to offer people in Bury a more traditional shop, just like the brilliant butchers across the road from us.”
