The neighbourhoods managing to 'suppress' coronavirus in Bury St Edmunds, West and Mid Suffolk
A number of areas are managing to 'suppress' the virus thanks to continuing lockdown measures, according to latest Government statistics.
According to Public Health England, several areas in Bury St Edmunds and West Suffolk are now reporting fewer than three coronavirus cases each week.
These areas are marked as places where the virus had been 'suppressed' - and data is restricted to protect individuals' identities.
Nationally covid cases have fallen to the lowest levels since the end of the last lockdown
Health experts warn however that the National Guidelines must still be followed to keep the rates down.
Localised figures: Seven days to February 22, 2021
Seven–day rates are expressed per 100,000 population and are calculated by dividing the seven day count by the area population and multiplying by 100,000.
Suppressed rates: For smaller areas - Middle layer Super Output Areas (MSOAs) - with fewer than 3 cases, no data is shown - and could be zero and three cases.
