Young market traders impressed judges as they took part in the heats of a national competition in Bury St Edmunds on Wednesday.
Traders, aged between 16 to 30, flocked to Bury market from across East Anglia, where they showcased their products ranging from coffee and brownies to trinkets and artwork.
Judges praised the young people for their entries in the Bury local heat of the National Market Traders Federation (NMTF) young traders competition.
The heat’s winner was Charlotte Smith with her Fox and Fauna stall, which sells jewellery, clothes and gifts at markets in Bury, Hadleigh and Ely.
David Marjoram, chair of Our Bury St Edmunds BID, was one of the judges.
Mr Marjoram said: “I have been really impressed by the range of stalls and the quality of products put forward by the young traders.
“Their passion for their products and entrepreneurship is incredible.”
Fellow judge Nic Pandolfi, senior business advisor at the New Anglia Growth Hub, said Bury had been ‘buzzing’ on the day of the heat.
“The competition highlights the creativity of talented young entrepreneurs and what they are capable of,” he added.
