Two members of a fund-raising group completed a 100km walk last weekend to thank a Bury St Edmunds charity.

Jody Twomey and Andrew Kerling, from Thetford 93, took on the Jurassic Coast Challenge to raise money for GeeWizz.

Andrew said: We have got to know Gina Long from GeeWizz and the worthwhile work that they do, so we thought it would be a privilege to do something for them and give something back.”

One of the group’s members was diagnosed with testicular cancer and Gina, the founder of the charity, helped and supported him.

Their walk went from Poole Harbour, in Dorset, to Bridport over two days.

Andrew said: “It was hard to take it all in when we got to the end, but looking back now it was a real achievement.”

The pair are hoping to hit £500 for the charity on their fund-raising page. To donate, go to www.justgiving.com/fundraising/thet93
