Thetford Grammar School's experimental day is hands-on family fun
Children and adults alike got the chance to get in touch with science at the Thetford Grammar School at the weekend.
Science and maths charity,The Kinetic Science Foundation, based in Stowmarket, took a science fair to the school to help the public understand the subject with interactive activities.
Michael Brewer, headmaster at the school, said: “The turnout from families was very strong and it was inspiring to see so many young people getting excited by science at our school.”
More than 100 people took on more than 20 different free activities including a talk and demonstration of Exo-planets and a trip around the International Space Station.
Deborah Ball, CEO of Kinetic Science, said: “As a charity we are always looking at ways to take science to a bigger audience and working with Thetford Grammar has been a great experience. We have all been very pleased with the response and the positive feedback.”
Kinetic Science and Thetford Grammar School are already looking at an event around National Science Week next March.
