Thetford Ancient Museum to host LGBTQ event for teens
Marking the 30th anniversary of National Coming Out Day, the Teenage History Club and Thetford Academy SPECTRUM group are hosting an event to better the understanding of the LGBTQ+ community.
The gathering held from 10am to 1pm will take place at the Ancient House Museum, Thetford, offering a range of activities including creating rainbow coloured sweets, mermaid peg dolls and painting Norfolk rock into unicorns.
Melissa Hawker, Learning Officer at Ancient House said: "They activities are designed to create a friendly atmosphere for conversation. Many of the young people identify as queer and will be on hand to answer your questions."
Celebrating diversity, the event is for teenagers of the community and supporting allies. A tour of the museum will be available on the day and normal entry fees will apply.
