Folk Café in Fornham St Martin, near Bury St Edmunds, named as one of the top spots for brunch in the UK
A popular Suffolk café has been named as one of the best in the UK for ‘brunch’.
Folk Café, in Fornham St Martin, near Bury St Edmunds, was listed in the best places for brunch in the UK in the Times newspaper, at the weekend.
The newspaper asked top chefs around the country to name their ‘go-to spots for brunch’ for a round-up of the best 28.
James Carn, who runs multi-award winning restaurant, Lark, in Angel Hill, Bury, was asked for his opinion, and chose Folk Café
James said in the article: “On our day off, me and my wife Sophia and youngest son, Henry, head just out of town to Folk.
“It’s got a fantastic vibe, great interior and wonderful service and they serve the best coffee in the area.
“I usually order a flat white with a bacon, halloumi and Folk Chilli jam toastie”.
Folk Café was launched by Ali Barker in 2018.
It recently trebled in size following an extension project and now seats 150 instead of the previous 50.
It also has a shop and a deli and private dining area.
