Thick black smoke seen across Bury St Edmunds as firefighters called to field fire in Rushbrooke Lane

Firefighters have been called to a field fire in Bury St Edmunds after a thick plume of smoke could be seen across town.
Suffolk Fire and Rescue Service was called at 4.55pm to the incident in Rushbrooke Lane.
Three fire crews are at the scene with two from Bury and one from Ixworth.
A spokesperson said they were called to a field fire with approximately three acres alight.
Crews are using hose reels and beaters to tackle the blaze.
Firefighters were trying to stop the blaze from spreading to a tractor.
Thick black smoke could be seen from the opposite end of the town.
