Suffolk police arrest third man and release new images of suspected stolen tools found in abandoned car in Ipswich
A third arrest has been made and new images released after police found a variety of suspected stolen tools in a car that failed to stop in Ipswich.
The incident happened at around 11.30am on Wednesday, April 13. A black Audi A3 failed to stop for officers on in Raeburn Road.
Officers followed the vehicle before the driver fled from the car in Landseer Road.
The suspected driver, a 17-year-old male, was arrested in the town and was taken to Martlesham Police Investigation Centre for questioning.
He was arrested on suspicion of failing to stop when directed, dangerous driving, driving without insurance, handling stolen goods, and aggravated vehicle taking.
Another man was arrested in Raeburn Road later that day. The 19-year-old man, also from Ipswich, was arrested on suspicion of handling stolen goods and assault of a police officer and taken to Martlesham Police Investigation Centre.
Both are on bail until May 7.
A 48-year-old male was arrested on April 23 on suspicion of aiding and abetting burglary and handling stolen goods and he was subsequently released under investigation.
A number of men were seen around the vehicle before it drove off, who also did not stop for police officers.
Police are appealing for witnesses or anyone who has information about the vehicle, those involved or the suspected stolen items.
Officers have now released further images of the items which they believe could be stolen from within Suffolk or neighbouring counties.
