Mount Road, in Bury St Edmunds, shut for emergency repairs

Motorists travelling on a town road should expect delays until the end of the week as it remains closed for emergency repairs.

Mount Road, in Bury St Edmunds, has been closed since Saturday by Anglian Water.

The road has been shut from the roundabout with Saltsman Road to Sow Lane, near Thurston.

A three-kilometre diversion route has been put in place.

Motorists travelling between Bury and Thurston need to follow a diversion via Orttewell Road, Skyliner Way, Rougham Tower Avenue and Sow Lane.
