Vintage vehicles will be spotted on the streets of Bury St Edmunds for the Distinguished Gentleman’s Drive 2024
Drivers will take to the roads of Suffolk in their vintage cars to raise awareness and funding for men’s mental health and prostate cancer charities.
The Distinguished Gentleman’s Drive, part of a worldwide event, will leave from Krazy Horse, in Bury St Edmunds, on Sunday morning.
Graeme Whiting, who has been organising the drive for four years in Bury and Suffolk, said: “Men’s mental health is personally very important to me, having lost my grandad to suicide when I was a teenager.
“Men need to talk about their mental health and through fundraising we’re able to support schemes specifically to deliver mental health support in the ways that suit us blokes.
“Several of my friends have had prostate cancer and thankfully recovered.
“However, we can do more for early diagnosis and the best possible treatment to avoid losing our loved ones early to this treatable cancer.”
This is the fourth year of the event in Bury and Graeme hopes it will be a record-breaker. Families will be able to see the cars before they set off from the Morgan dealership at Krazy Horse between 10am and 11am.
The cars will arrive at Clare County Park, near Sudbury, at about 12.30pm.
Cars will then arrive at Worlington Hall, near Mildenhall, where they will be park between 2.30pm - 4pm.
