Three suspected shoplifters fail to answer bail after being arrested for stealing from shops in Bury St Edmunds
Three suspected shoplifters failed to answer their bail after they were arrested in a Suffolk town.
Police officers previously arrested four women after a car and thousands of pounds of clothing in Bury St Edmunds were seized in October.
Three of the women failed to answer their bail while the fourth woman was released under investigation.
A police spokesman said that officers will now be conducting enquiries to locate and re-arrest the three women who failed to answer bail.
The women, aged 42, 37, 50 and 42 years, were arrested on suspicion of theft from shops on October 17, 2022 and were previously released on bail in November.
The group, from Essex and the Greater London areas, had been taken to Bury St Edmunds Police Investigation Centre for questioning, where they were further arrested on suspicion of going equipped to steal for theft.
