Three teenagers arrested after police called to suspected shoplifting at arc shopping centre in Bury St Edmunds




Three teenagers were arrested on suspicion of shoplifting at a Suffolk shopping centre.

Police were alerted at about 5.15pm on Tuesday following reports of suspected shoplifting at the arc in Bury St Edmunds.

The alleged culprits were seen leaving the Cattle Mark car park in a silver vehicle which was found in Fornham Road.

An 18-year-old woman and an 18-year-old man were arrested on suspicion of theft from a shop and on suspicion of stealing a motor vehicle.

A 16-year-old boy ran away from police but was caught in Avenue Approach and arrested on suspicion of theft from a shop.

All three were taken to Bury St Edmunds Police Investigation Centre and have since been released under investigation.
