Three Bury St Edmunds venues, Wine Cellar, Angel Hotel and Theatre Royal through to final of Muddy Stilettos Awards




A trio of Bury St Edmunds venues have scooped the top title in an annual lifestyle awards.

The Wine Cellar, in Buttermarket, The Angel Hotel, Angel Hill, and Theatre Royal Bury St Edmunds, Westgate Street, have all been named as the winners for the Suffolk and Cambridgeshire region Muddy Stilletos Awards.

The Wine Cellar won the New Lifestyle Start-Up category, Angel Hotel, the best Hotel/Inn category and Theatre Royal Bury St Edmunds, the Theatre/Arts venue category.

They all now go forward for the National Muddy Awards to find the ‘best of the best’ across all 28 Muddy award counties, the next few weeks.

Across the country, the awards, attracted 77,000 businesses 800,000 votes.

Bradley Dorrington, founder of the Wine Cellar, said: “It is incredible that we have won a regional award within our first 11 months of being open, something that I had never even imagined would have happened.

“For it to be within a competition that has been voted for by customers and members of the public is even more rewarding.”
