Thunderstorms to strike Suffolk as Met Office issues yellow weather warning across county

Suffolk is set to be hit with thunderstorms today as a yellow weather warning has been issued across the county.
The Met Office warning will be in place from noon to midnight and the severe weather could cause travel disruptions and some flooding.
There is also the possibility of difficult driving conditions, road closures and power cuts.
Heavy rain is expected to accompany the storms with a potential for 25mm to 30mm of rain to fall in one or two hours in a few places.
The Met Office is advising residents to avoid seeking shelter under or near trees and other structures that could be struck by lightning.
