Tornado warning issued and heavy rain to hit Suffolk

A tornado warning has been issued and heavy rain is set to hit Suffolk.

The Tornado and Storm Research Organisation (TORRO) has said that, across the county as well as other southern parts of England and Wales, there might be tornados and cyclones.

A ‘low-topped supercell or two’ is also possible.

According to the TORRO warning, lightning is expected to strike and hail could also fall.

It comes as Suffolk faces the wettest February on record, with a yellow weather warning in place for the whole county from 5am to 5pm today.

The tornado warning is in place until 4pm tomorrow.
