Bury St Edmunds Barclays temporarily shut due to 'operational reasons'

A Bury St Edmunds town centre bank was temporarily closed today due to 'operational reasons'.

Barclays, in Cornhill, was shut on Monday and was closed today but is due to reopen tomorrow.

A spokesperson said: "We apologise to our customers that we have had to close our Bury St Edmunds branch on Monday and Wednesday of this week for operational reasons.

"The branch will be open again tomorrow.

"The nearest alternative branches are Mildenhall and Thetford, and customers can continue to access their banking 24/7 using online banking, telephone banking or the Barclays app.

"Every day banking can also be carried out at the Post Office."
