A town centre road will shut for a week later this month.
Tayfen Road, in Bury St Edmunds, will be closed from October 26 to November 3.
Suffolk Highways said the closure is for sewage works.
It is believed this is a rescheduling of the works which were due in July but later cancelled.
These were in connection with the Weston Homes Tayfen Court development.
A diversion route posted on one.network is advising drivers to go on the A14 to junction 42 and then the A1302 Newmarket Road to Risbygate Street.
Delays are expected.
