Bury St Edmunds to see immersive and interactive floral display in town centre for British Flowers Week

A community of floral artists and growers are preparing to build an interactive floral display in Bury St Edmunds to celebrate British Flowers Week.

Suffolk members of Flowers From the Farm, a non-profit membership association championing artisan growers of local, season cut flowers, will be creating an immersive and interactive piece of floral art on June 28 on Angel Hill alongside Bury in Bloom.

The project will unite growers, floral artists and the public to build the display which will use flowers grown by Flowers From the Farm’s Suffolk members using sustainable and regenerative principles.

The aim is to highlight and champion British floriculture alongside sustainable and foam-free floristry techniques, with the encompassing theme this year being Regeneration.

The organisers are asking members of the public to write their their own hopes, wishes and thoughts on flower tokens which will be hung – these will then be collected at the end of the project as a memento to the people of Bury.
