Bury St Edmunds firefighters called to help after smoke seen drifting from parcel




Firefighters were called to deal with an electrical fire after smoke was seen drifting out of a parcel in Bury St Edmunds.

Suffolk Fire and Rescue Service was alerted to the incident in Mildenhall Road at 5.32am today.

A spokesman said they were called to help with a parcel which was emitting smoke.

A crew from Bury St Edmunds attended and discovered that it was an electrical fire from an electric bike conversion kit.

They extinguished the fire by 6.06am.
