Bury St Edmunds Scrivens Opticians and Hearing Care win best regional branch

A Bury St Edmunds opticians is celebrating a regional branch of the year award.

Scrivens Opticians & Hearing Care, based on Abbeygate Street, Bury St Edmunds, won the accolade after coming top in the East Anglia area to clinch the title at Scrivens’ annual conference and awards ceremony.

Manager Jan Parker, who has worked for the company for four years, said: “It is fantastic to win the award in my first year as a manager.

"We have worked really hard as a team and have a loyal base of longstanding customers.

"We have also had a lot of new customers coming through who like our friendly and helpful approach.”

The award is recognition for the team’s 'first class customer care, general positive attitude, optical and hearing expertise and all round professionalism'.

Scrivens chairman Nicholas Georgevic said: “Our success is thanks to the fantastic people who work in our branches to deliver a great community and customer focused service.

"Their commitment has been particularly valued during the pandemic and its aftermath.
