Bury St Edmunds’ Guildhall Feoffment Pre-School and Nursery could expand into former records office building

A Bury St Edmunds pre-school and nursery could expand into a former records office building.

A planning application was submitted by Suffolk County Council and if approved would see Guildhall Feoffment Pre-School and Nursery, in Shirehall Way, extend into the former records office annex building.

In the planning statement, by agent Concertus, it said the proposals would refurbish the former record office annex building to provide an activity area with a lobby, accessible toilet and staff area to accommodate an increased number of pupils.

The kitchen and the group room of the pre-school building would be remodelled to ensure the best use of the space.

The proposals would also see new windows and doors to match the style of the area.

The planning application said there are 13 existing full-time positions and that the proposed number of full-time employees would be 17.
