Holywell Close, Bury St Edmunds property target of attempted burglary

A town property was the target of an attempted burglary this morning.

An unknown male tried to gain access to the house in Holywell Close, Bury St Edmunds, at around 7am.

He tried to open the home’s front door using a key from a keysafe, but left without gaining entry as the homeowner was in the hallway.

The intruder is described as a black male, approximately six feet tall, wearing dark clothing and a red woolly hat.
