Man taken to hospital after emergency services called St Andrew’s Street North, Bury St Edmunds, medical incident

A road in Bury St Edmunds was closed as emergency services dealt with a man in cardiac arrest.
Police and the ambulance service were called just before 2pm to St Andrew’s Street North to reports of a man who was unwell.
The air ambulance was also been alerted.
Four police cars and two ambulances were spotted in the area.
An ambulance service spokesperson said the man had suffered a cardiac arrest.
East Anglian Air Ambulance, two ambulances and an ambulance officer vehicle were sent to the scene.
The man was taken to Addenbrooke’s Hospital for further treatment.
The scene was cleared and road reopened by 4.45pm.
