Bury St Edmunds Nando's restaurant reopens

A branch of Nando's in Bury St Edmunds has welcomed back customers today.

The arc shopping centre branch is among 53 of the company's restaurants to open this week for eat-in, taking the total open to 340 across the UK.

Among the changes introduced are a reduced capacity with fewer tables, a virtual queuing system via a QR code and the restaurant will be able to accommodate tables of up to six people maximum.

A spokesman said: "The new measures are designed to minimise contact with customers at other tables and avoid queues within the restaurant to maintain safety.

"Returning customers should rest assured that their safety as well as the safety of our team is a top priority.

"Things might be a little different for a while, but we hope the changes won’t drastically affect the laid back Nando’s experience that people have come to know and love."
