Majority of Greater Anglia services in Suffolk to be cancelled due to upcoming strike

Upcoming train strikes will see the majority of services cancelled across the region.

Industrial action by the ASLEF union will severely impact Greater Anglia services on Friday, February 2 resulting in a very limited train service on five core routes.

These services include the following:

♦ Norwich – London Liverpool Street: hourly service

♦ Stansted Airport – London Liverpool Street: hourly service

♦ Colchester – London Liverpool Street: hourly service

♦ Southend Victoria – London Liverpool Street: hourly service

♦ Cambridge – London Liverpool Street: service approximately every 2 hours

There will be no train services at all on any other Greater Anglia routes – which includes most train journeys in Suffolk.

Passengers are being advised to check their journey before they travel as there may be last-minute changes to services.

Jamie Burles, Greater Anglia’s managing director, said: “We are sorry for any inconvenience caused by these service alterations and advise customers to plan ahead and check before they travel.”
