Big Bro Race to put entrants to the test and raise funds for GeeWizz charity
A fund-raising test of endurance, speed and strength returns to Barrow this month, with local families set to benefit from the money it raises.
The third annual Big Bro Race will see participants tackle a 24km bike ride, 4km run and 25-obstacle challenge.
GeeWizz charitable trust – which raises funds to help children, young adults and their families living with a disability and those affected by cancer in Suffolk – will receive all the proceeds, thanks to sponsorship from Greene King covering the costs of the September 23 event.
Organiser Laura Hudson said: "With the race supporting a Suffolk charity, we can see where the money goes, which gives it a real community aspect.
"I'd be thrilled if it raised somewhere between £4,000-£5,000."
The Big Bro Race is at The Playground, Barrow. With 70 entrants registered, there is space for more. Sign up at www.theplay grounduk.com/the-big-bro/
