The third annual Big Bro Race will see participants tackle a 24km bike ride, 4km run and 25-obstacle challenge.

GeeWizz charitable trust – which raises funds to help children, young adults and their families living with a disability and those affected by cancer in Suffolk – will receive all the proceeds, thanks to sponsorship from Greene King covering the costs of the September 23 event.

Organiser Laura Hudson said: "With the race supporting a Suffolk charity, we can see where the money goes, which gives it a real community aspect.

"I'd be thrilled if it raised somewhere between £4,000-£5,000."

The Big Bro Race is at The Playground, Barrow. With 70 entrants registered, there is space for more. Sign up at www.theplay grounduk.com/the-big-bro/
