LEARN MORESome unusual feathered visitors that landed near Bury St Edmunds Bus Station got twitchers in a flutter over the weekend.
The trees between the far end of the station and St Andrew's Street North car park had four Waxwings feeding in the trees.
The birds, with plumes on their heads and yellow tips to their tail, occasionally reach our shores in winter, travelling long distances in search berries.
On Friday, a couple of twitchers with cameras were seen staking out the Waxwing activity, but news quickly got around and their numbers had swelled considerably the following day.
