Thousands help reunite teddy bear lost on Greater Anglia train at Stowmarket with Bury St Edmunds owner
A real-life toy story played out on Twitter after a teddy bear was discovered on a Greater Anglia train.
Thousands of users of the social media platform retweeted and shared an appeal to reunite the small toy with a little girl seen carrying it.
Twitter user 'You Can Call Me Al' uploaded an image of the bear after finding it on the 1.26pm train from Bury St Edmunds to Ipswich yesterday (Tuesday, April 2).
He wrote: "To the lady who got off at Stowmarket with your little girl, I found her well-loved teddy.
"It will be handed-in with care at Ipswich railway station. Let's get this teddy home #ted'sjourney."
At the time of writing, 1,900 had retweeted the message - with the Bury Free Press being alerted.
But after nearly 24 hours apart, bear and girl were reunited this morning (Wednesday).
Al wrote: "The teddy has been reunited with it's owner. Thank you Twitter for all your amazing help. You are truly amazing."
