Bury St Edmunds residents appear on Channel 4's Changing Rooms as their homes underwent bold makeovers
Two Bury St Edmunds homes were showcased to the nation last night, as an episode of Channel 4's Changing Rooms filmed in the town hit the screens.
The hit show, presented by designer Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen and TV personality Anna Richardson sees two households exchange keys while they redecorate one another's room.
In last night's episode, insurance broker, Leanna, and mechanic, Jamie, searched for inspiration for a 'decorative deadlock' in their living room, while neighbour Donna wanted 'wow factor' in her bedroom.
Leanna and Jamie chose bold, bright colours for Donna's bedroom, opting for a chequerboard of red, pink, purple and white for the flooring, baby pink walls with quirky splashes of red, and lots of unique furniture.
Donna and her sister Sarah rejuvenated their neighbours grey living room with gin bottle green walls and bespoke wallpaper, adding moss wall panels, plenty of house plants and a glass table full of foliage.
Donna was impressed with her colourful bedroom, admitting she would never have chosen it personally, but that she loved its vibrancy and glamour.
She told Channel 4: "I love my room. Its so wow, out there, very very me."
Leanna and Jamie were speechless with their new, adventurous living room, and while Jamie seemed to take a little while to warm to the bold new colour, the pair seemed right at home with their new style.
The episode is available to stream on All4.
