Bardwell Road in Barningham, between Bury St Edmunds and Diss, closed despite 20 tanker loads of water being removed

A village road is closed due to flooding – despite highways teams clearing 20 tanker loads of water.

In a Suffolk Highways social media post, a spokesperson said their teams attempted to clear surface water flooding in Bardwell Road, in Barningham, today

However, despite 20 tanker loads of water being removed, they have been unable to stem the flow.

They said the road will be closed until further notice.
