Woolpit Primary Academy pupil Violet wins Christmas card competition
A creative pupil at Woolpit Primary Academy, near Bury St Edmunds, has won a Christmas card competition to help spread festive cheer.
David Wilson Homes organised the competition to design a Christmas card for residents of the Abbots Green development, in Old Stowmarket Road.
Winner Violet Burdiss, nine, was presented with an art kit prize from the developer for her festive design.
Sarah Clayton, headteacher, said: “We are very proud of Violet for winning. We hope the new residents of the houses enjoy the card she made and it makes them feel welcome to the village.”
Annette Hurst, David Wilson Homes Eastern Counties sales director, said: “All the entries we received from the talented children were excellent and we’d like to thank everyone who took part in the competition.
"We hope Violet will take great pride in knowing she has helped to spread festive cheer.”
