Bury St Edmunds virtual reality escape rooms and experience centre set to replace mobile phone specialist on St Andrew’s Street South
Virtual reality escape rooms and experiences could be on their way to a Suffolk town centre after plans for new signage were submitted for approval.
VR Sphere Ltd limited has applied for advertisement consent for one non-illuminated fascia sign and one non-illuminated hanging sign for The Basement at 35-36 Brentgovel Street, Bury St Edmunds.
It is the site of the former ACG mobile phone repair specialist, next to Nightjars bar, and with the sign facing onto St Andrew’s Street South.
According to planning documents for the proposed new signage, VR Sphere provides virtual reality escape rooms and virtual reality experiences.
The company was founded in January this year.
The application seeks permission to: “Replace the existing fascia signs which currently have a prior occupants signage and logo with our companies logo and the addition of a new 600 x 600mm projection sign.
“The fascia sign will be same as it is now using the same type of sign but simply replacing the logo and signage from the old tenants. The projection sign will be a new sign to provide visibility from an angle, much like many other companies on the road.”
The application is currently awaiting decision.
