Easter weekend set to be warm with temperatures up to 20C forecast in Bury St Edmunds

Bury St Edmunds could be basking in temperatures up to 20C this Easter bank holiday weekend.

The Met Office is predicting increasingly warm weather throughout the rest of this week, with sunshine and temperatures of 19/20C forecast on Saturday and Sunday.

From today's high of 14C, it will start to feel much warmer from tomorrow. By then, the wind should have dropped and sunny intervals changing to cloudy in the afternoon are forecast, with a maximum temperature of 16C.

On Thursday, the forecast is cloudy changing to sunny intervals by late morning, with a maximum temperature of 17C.

On Friday the sun should be out and the mercury is forecast to hit 18C in Bury, with the sun returning and highs of 20C on Saturday and 19C on Sunday. Monday could be cloudier and slightly cooler, with sunshine by lunchtime and a high of 17C forecast.

Meanwhile, in Majorca the Easter weekend high is set to be 19C, but cloudy.
