Karooze Café Bar in Bury St Edmunds set to close for ‘complete refurbishment and rebrand’

A town centre bar is preparing to close for a ‘complete refurb and rebrand’.

Eagle-eyed shoppers may have spotted a sign in the window of Karooze Café Bar in Bury St Edmunds that said the bar would be open for the next few Fridays and Saturdays before closing for a full refurbishment.

The sign added: “Please bear with us. We are so looking forward to our time ahead.”

In March, Karooze, based in St Andrew’s Street South, was being advertised by pub company Punch as the revamped Suffolk and Social.

On its website, Punch said it has plans to revamp the premises, with new lighting, flooring, screens, furniture and a complete redecoration inside.
