Ed Sheeran’s ‘A Little More’ video filmed in Bury St Edmunds hits more than one million views in under 24 hours
Ed Sheeran’s new music video, described as ‘a love letter’ to Bury St Edmunds, has racked up more than a million views in less than 24 hours.
The Framlingham singer’s latest video, A Little More, reunites him with Rupert Grint — who also appeared in the 2011 Lego House video — and showcases multiple locations in and around the town.
The film opens with the British Sugar factory and features scenes at Fitta Bodies gym, St Mary’s Church and Hengrave Hall.
David Harris, owner of Hengrave Hall, said hosting Sheeran and his team for a week of filming in December was a privilege.
Mr Harris said: “We are so lucky to have a world-renowned superstar who does so much for Suffolk — and this video is like a love letter to Bury.
“Being featured so prominently will bring a huge number of people to Hengrave. It’s an incredible position for us all to be involved in.”
Mr Harris said Sheeran, Grint and the production team stayed at Hengrave Hall and All Saints Hotel while they filmed on location.
“The team at Hengrave and All Saints provided the very best service to them during that week,” he said.
“I’m very proud of our dedicated staff here, who always deliver that level of service — no matter who they are serving.”
The music video was released yesterday at 4pm and has already attracted more than one million views on YouTube.
Mark Cordell, chief executive of Our Bury St Edmunds, said: “We’re absolutely delighted to see Bury landmarks feature in the new video.
“It’s a fantastic way to raise the town’s profile and we hope it will inspire more people to visit.
“Ed has always been a great supporter of East Suffolk — with his recent Ipswich concerts proving a huge success — so it’s wonderful to see him turning his attention to the west of the county as well.”
