Met Office issues yellow warning for Suffolk and Norfolk as Storm Brendan continues

The Met Office has a yellow weather warning in place for Suffolk and Norfolk for the next two days.

Strong winds associated with Storm Brendan are affecting much of the UK today (Tuesday, January 14).

According to the Met Office, residents should be aware of potential for delays to road and rail transport.

After heavy storms last night (Monday) the weather calmed overnight into this morning - but rain showers are forecast to start again this afternoon.

Some regions have reported a loss of power through the storm.

For tomorrow (Wednesday) the Met Office has scaled back its yellow warning to only the east of England.

This means there is still a chance Norfolk and Suffolk could be impacted by the storms - and the Met Office has said there is still potential for travel disruption.

Latest forecasts suggest the majority of tomorrow's rain is set to fall in the morning.

Greater Anglia has reported a number of train cancellations today, but at the time of writing none of these had been due to bad weather.

Also, at the time of writing (10.30am), there are currently no delays on the A14.
