A14 and A11 closures over two months will hit drivers

Drivers can expect delays later this month as two major Suffolk trunk roads will undergo weeks of nighttime closures.

These closures, which begin on Monday, July 19, will involve parts of the A14 and the A11 and will allow for inspections and maintenance to take place.

Closures will affect the A14 eastbound and westbound carriageways between junction 38 and 55, including all slip roads.

The A11 southbound will also be closed between Fiveways Roundabout, Barton Mills and Waterhall Interchange at Six Mile Bottom.

This will include the southbound entry slip roads at Red Lodge Interchange and the B1085 Interchange.

Work will be carried out Monday to Friday between 8pm and 6am and will result in phases of closed lanes, slip roads and laybys.

Diversions are in place for all of the closures but delays are to be expected.
