Wet Wet Wet star, Marti Pellow, is heading to Bury St Edmunds after doctors give go-ahead for rescheduled tour: Pellow Talk – The Lost Chapter
Wet Wet Wet star, Marti Pellow, is inviting people to ‘get up close and personal’ at his re-scheduled show.
The Scottish pop star, who had to cancel the tour earlier this year on ‘strict doctor’s orders’, is now due to appear at The Apex, Bury St Edmunds, on September 18.
He has renamed the show 'Pellow Talk - The Lost Chapter' and will perform in 25 venues across the UK.
The original Pellow Talk tour during 2022 was a huge success.
The 58-year-old is best known for belting out hits in the 80s and 90s including Wishing I was Lucky, Sweet Little Mystery, Angel Eyes, and a cover of The Troggs’ Love is All Around, which was used on the soundtrack to the film Four Weddings and a Funeral.
The new stage show is an intimate affair set in a 1970s sitting room – much like the one he grew up in – where he talks about his life, addictions, music making and stardom, interspersed with live singing of some of his most famous hits.
He is also offering ‘meet & greet’ tickets, with ‘goody bags’ and front row seats for his biggest fans. Only nine of these are left.
"I was thrilled with the response to Pellow Talk. It was the most intimate shows I’ve done,” he said.
“I wanted to do some more shows in this way and The Lost Chapter is a reimagined show that connects you, the audience, with me, the songwriter.”
Pellow was heartbroken when he had to cancel the tour earlier this year, which had been due to run between May and June.
At the time, he was ordered by his doctor to take a period of “immediate rest.”
The rescheduled Bury St Edmunds show on September 18, starts: 7.30pm
Meet & Greet tickets (with a chance to meet Marti, front row seats and a goody bag) £82, VIP (with best seats and goody bag) £47, standard tickets £32
