Bubble Rush attracts hundreds to Nowton Park in aid of St Elizabeth Hospice

Waves of bubbles poured into the path of charity runners in Bury St Edmunds on Sunday.

The first Bubble Rush was held at Nowton Park, attracting more than 400 participants prepared to get a little bit messy in aid of a good cause.

Multi-colour bubbles were blasted from cannons at strategically-placed bubble stations along the 5km course, with runners having frothy fun and helping to raise thousands of pounds for St Elizabeth Hospice under its ‘Zest’ arm, which is aimed at young adults.

Natalie Hill, events and challenges fund-raiser, said: “It’s been a wonderful day and we really appreciate all the support that local people have given to Zest to help us raise awareness of the work we want to do to help young adults."
