Petrol prices in Suffolk towns this week, including Bury St Edmunds, Stowmarket, Newmarket, Lowestoft, Haverhill, Ipswich, Felixstowe, Woodbridge and more

This week, the average price of unleaded at the pumps nationally is 149.54p and diesel is 157.64p – but are we paying more or less than the average in Suffolk?

SuffolkNews conducted a survey on Wednesday – using data from petrolprices.com – to see what drivers in the county are paying at the pumps. The results might surprise you.

We found that on the whole drivers in the county are getting a better deal than the national picture – but you may have to take a detour to find the cheapest fuel (or avoid the priciest petrol station in Suffolk).

But head out to Woolpit if you want what we think could be the cheapest fuel in the county, as its Murco, in Old Stowmarket Road, is charging 140.9p/147.9p.
