Green Dragon Morris dancers hold Day of Dance, in Bury St Edmunds, on May 17




Shoppers heading to a Suffolk town centre tomorrow will be greeted by the sight of hundreds of Morris dancers.

The Day of Dance, in Bury St Edmunds, has been organised by Green Dragon Morris, who will be joined by 16 other groups.

A procession of the Morris dancers will start from Charter Square, in the arc Shopping Centre, at 10.30am.

Throughout the event, which will run until 4.30pm, the groups will perform in locations across Bury.

These include Charter Square, Angel Hill, St John’s Street and in front of Moyse’s Hall Museum.

The Day of Dance will culminate with a grand finale where all 17 groups will dance together in Charter Square, between 4pm to 4.30pm.
