A14 Bury St Edmunds windscreen fitting van stopped by police after being found with 'ironic' damaged windscreen

A van belonging to a nationwide windscreen fitting company was stopped on the A14 today and handed an 'ironic' prohibition notice.

The van, which was pulled on the road near Bury St Edmunds, was found to have a damaged windscreen itself.

A Norfolk and Suffolk Roads and Armed Policing Team spokesperson branded the incident 'ironic' and said the company had ignored their driver's request for a new screen for several months.
