Therapist Sarah moves into Bury St Edmunds and aims to help children
A therapist who offers reflexology and the Bowen method has expanded her business to offer treatments at Neal’s Yard in Bury St Edmunds.
Sarah Woodhouse runs her own treatment therapy at Woolpit but wanted to broaden her offer.
She is now providing treatments for children and says she was inspired after her son was successfully helped with a bad knee problem and asthma.
The Bowen technique involves the therapist passing their hands in a gentle rolling action over soft tissue to enable the brain to help the body re-adjust itself into a healthy condition.
Sarah is registered with the Complementary and Natural Health Council, a member of the College of Bowen Studies and a member of the Federation of Holistic Therapists.
She said: "I'm passionate about people and their long term health and well being. I believe we can see holistic therapy working alongside our lovely NHS.
"I enjoy being at Neal's Yard as I can be out and about on the 'shop floor' meeting people and talking to customers. Children are our future and I have had such great success with adults I thought it important this is accessible to children.
"If something is really affecting people's daily or monthly lives sometimes therapy can alleviate that."
Sarah added: “Both children and adults are consulted to get to the root cause of what is happening. It is a holistic approach and one that helps people to look after themselves.
Sessions for those aged up to 15 are £10 and £15 for 16 to 18-year-olds. Adults pay £50 for an hour’s therapy.
