Suffolk under Met Office yellow weather warning for heavy showers and thunderstorms on Saturday




Thunderstorms and heavy showers could lead to disruption on the roads this weekend.

The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for storms between 9am to 6pm tomorrow, which includes the whole of Suffolk.

In an update published on its website, the Met Office said ‘there is a good chance’ driving conditions will be affected by spray, standing water and/or hail.

It also warned of possible damage to buildings and structures from lightning strikes.

The Met Office said there are likely to be power cuts.

Delays caused by the storms may affect train services and other transport networks.
