BREAKING NEWS: Bury Town sign former Football League striker
Bury Town have moved swiftly to replace striker John Sands by bringing in Michael Bakare on loan from Braintree Town.
The 28-year-old worked with Blues boss Ben Chenery at Chelmsford City and earned a move to Macclesfield Town in 2012 after starring against them in an FA Cup tie.
He subsequently spent time at Southport, Droylesden, Dover Athletic and Tonbridge Angels — as well as a second spell at Chelmsford — before joining Braintree Town last summer.
However, he fractured his leg in a road accident in October, ruling him out for 10 weeks.
The paperwork was completed last night.
