Mildenhall Town’s Recreation Way-based ground will continue to be named The Riverside Stadium after sponsorship extension
With promotion to Step 4 looking increasingly inevitable, Mildenhall Town have announced a two-year ground sponsorship boost.
The club’s Recreation Way home will continue to be known as The Riverside Stadium after an agreement was reached over an extension with Cameron Ventures Group Ltd – a company that owns a number of hotels in East Anglia.
Alongside giving the Thurlow Nunn League Premier Division champions elect a welcome financial injection ahead of life at a higher level in the non-league pyramid, the funds will also help the club to purchase new floodlights and also filter down into the youth section.
Mildenhall’s general manager Jon Sadler said of the deal, which was originally struck back in March 2022: “We are delighted to get the deal agreed with Cameron Ventures Groups.
“This is a massive boost for the club and really does take the pressure off us as we look to move up to Step 4 football. We thank the CV Group for their continued support.”
Meanwhile, the Cameron Ventures Group’s CEO Brian Keane added: “It is great to be able to support such a valuable community facility.
“The first team are doing an amazing job in the 2023/24 season and there is a forward thinking approach at the club with the growth of the youth development section and how well the youth teams are doing.
“The members of the club that give up all their time to develop the youth section and support the senior teams are what makes it such a great club and our sponsorship hopefully enables further investment.
“I would highly recommend any local businesses that are not presently involved in the club to speak to Jon Sadler and see what opportunities are available, whether it be hospitality, match day sponsorship or advertising their business at the ground.”
Mildenhall require four points to seal the title and they can take another big step towards it on Saturday when they host Woodbridge Town (3pm).
