Bury St Edmunds beautician, Kirsty Jackson, launches Belle Rose Lashes and Beauty Academy
A beautician is building on her success by opening a new training academy.
Kirsty Jackson has launched Belle Rose Lashes and Beauty Academy at 12 Hillside Road, Bury St Edmunds.
The 36-year-old had been working from home after first launching the business in 2016, specialising in eyelashes.
She provided treatments and taught students there on a one-to one basis.
But now Kirsty has expanded the business at a new location.
The new salon and academy has a reception, waiting area, as well as five other rooms to rent out to beauticians offering others services including nails and massage.
In the coming months, Kirsty will also be bringing other trainers on board for different beauty treatments.
Kirsty said: “It’s really exciting to launch the academy. I can still teach one-to-one, but now also in groups of up to four.
“I like to provide a fun yet relaxed environment to help people feel comfortable as I know how nerve-racking it can be learning something new.
“I’m also renting out the other rooms and already have a beauty therapist on board who does massage, facials, nails and more; two lash artists and still have an aesthetic room to rent out, a nail station and one other room.
Belle Rose Academy offers courses fully accredited by Professional Beauty Direct.
They cover all aspects of lashing from anatomy of the eye to lash mapping, lash styling, layering, aftercare, removal, theory and practical, live models and social media advice.
Courses range from classic lash training, Russian volume training, straight to volume training, lash lift and tint course and henna brow training. They include mentoring, kits to get started, and lifetime after support.
Belle Rose Academy also offers beauty treatments including lashes and permanent make up, semi permanent, micropigmentation and cosmetic tattooing.
“I’ve completely refurbished the premises and clients love the new look,” added Kirsty.
“We are still running as a salon but it’s the academy side I want to grow, so we can support people throughout their careers.”
